About the project. Educational program Sofkė is dedicated to work with young people who spend their time in the streets. People from Sofkė are trying to reach out to youngsters who have to deal with difficulties at home, school or other places where they live and can’t receive any help. This program is not temporary and its purpose is to help young people to maintain their dignity, develop their social skills and also to help them to help themselves.
People from Sofkė spend a lot of time in places where youngsters like to hang out (playing grounds, supermarkets, courtyards etc.) and there’s also a place in Pal. J. Matulaitis social centre where they can receive a professional social help. In the summertime Sofkė organizes special trips and events to educate older people about youth and its problems.
