Rokas Kuliesius

On the evening of June 30th this summer, Rokas suffered a severe head trauma and fell into a coma. The accident occurred while he was preparing for the annual "Amber Burn" festival in Lithuania — Rokas was sitting on one of the art installations when it collapsed, and a metal part struck him on the head.

Rokas was quickly transported to the Republican Vilnius University Hospital, where he underwent surgery shortly after midnight. Following the operation, he lapsed into a coma and has been fighting for his life ever since. The impact to his head was so severe that it fractured the skull over his right cerebral hemisphere, causing an intracranial hematoma.

Today, Rokas's condition remains critical. The medical team is not only addressing the severe brain injury but also battling persistent infections and inflammations. In just the past month, Rokas has undergone multiple transfers between specialised hospitals in Vilnius, Lithuania, each move aimed at providing him with the best possible care.

Throughout his life, Rokas has touched the lives of hundreds. He helped build homes, fulfil dreams, organise festivals, and gather communities. Above all, Rokas has always shown genuine care for those around him, bringing joy to everyone he meets. His calm demeanour and zest for life are infectious – he's known for his ever-present smile, his loving nature, and his selfless spirit. All who have had the privilege of knowing Rokas can attest to his exceptional character and the positive impact he's had on their lives.

Despite the support of his loving parents, siblings, and girlfriend - who have been by his side daily since the accident - Rokas faces a long journey of healing and rehabilitation ahead.

We aim to give Rokas the best chances to heal, rehabilitate, and return to the life he loves so much. This will certainly take time, which is why we're preparing for a long fight and asking you to join us.

All collected funds will be dedicated to Rokas's treatment and rehabilitation.

The full extent of Rokas's condition upon waking remains uncertain. However, we know that both treatment and rehabilitation will span years and incur significant costs. Our fundraising goal, combined with the family's resources, aims to provide Rokas with the best possible chances for recovery.

Please donate and join our effort to help Rokas return to living a fulfilling life.
