Provide a Full-Fledged Life for Abandoned Children

Simona was eight when SOS Chidlren‘s Villages in Lithuania took her in. Her mother was an irresponsible person refusing to take care of her own child. First eight years of Simona's life were marked by loneliness, inability to do the simplest daily tasks, read and write, not having any friends or chance to go to a kindergarten. It had a major impact on her development therefore in time of her arrival, SOS "Children Villages" had to provide an intensive care for the little one. The girl was emotionally unstable, had problems while communicating with other children and even blamed herself for not being loved by her own mother.

There are 35 SOS children going through the similar difficulties as Simona. They all need an intensive care. Psychologists, speech therapists, teachers and SOS mother - they all have to do their part in healing process of the little ones. Two days per week for 9 months SOS mothers take care of children providing them with all the help they need based on their individual progress.
