Kristupas lost parental care when he was 2 years old.
Meet Kristupus - a cheerful, clever and active boy who is currently 5 years old. When you see him running in the field together with SOS aunt Lina, you would never think that Kristupas lost his parents' care at the age of 2 and experienced big changes in his life.
Kristupas, who lost his parents two years ago, was not alone. He was helped to recover after a difficult experience by SOS aunt Lina and SOS uncle Jonas, who took the boy into a safe home and surrounded him with their care, love and care. Kristupas is currently growing up in a normal family-like environment together with 4 children whom he calls brothers and sisters. He has his own room in a cozy house, he goes to kindergarten and constant people take care of him every day: SOS aunt Lina, uncle Jonas and aunt Marytė who help them.
After the difficult experience, Kristupas was greatly helped by canine therapy sessions, he also visits a speech therapist, and the adults who look after him regularly consult with the psychologists and other specialists of "SOS Children's Villages" in order to better respond to Kristupas' needs and help him overcome the traumas left by the past.< /i>
Your support will help take care of more than 70 children who have lost parental care, who are under the care of "SOS Children's Villages". These children, like Kristupas, grow up in "SOS families". Each family consists of 5-6 children and adults who take care of them and live together permanently. Each family lives in its own separate apartment or house, which everyone hosts together, just like any other Lithuanian family.
We will use your support:
• For the maintenance of housing for "SOS families" so that each child grows up in his own home.
• For the help of SOS mothers, SOS aunts, SOS uncles, so that every child has a family - permanent and constantly present adults.
• Specialist consultations - so that we can provide timely individual help to each child (speech therapists, developmental specialists, psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, etc.).
