Let's hear all the kids at Christmas!

Let's hear all the kids at Christmas!

Children and teens call or write online to the Children's Line to share their difficulties, tell about difficult situations in their lives, and seek support, listening, and understanding. Every day, Children's Line consultants lag behind an average of 300 children's calls, messages and letters online.

The difficulties of holiday children do not go away - some children are even more lonely during the holidays, experience poor relationships with their father and other relatives, do not feel safe in their home environment, do not have strong feelings to share. Talking on the phone or online with on-duty Children's Line counselors for such children is often a safe way to get support, be away and get along as best you can.

2020 In December, Children's Line responded to 12,500 children's calls and 240 online chats - on-call volunteer counselors spent almost 2,000 hours communicating with children and adolescents. Indeed, children and adolescents talked to Children's Line counselors about difficult relationships with parents or friends, suicidal thoughts, physical activity, sexual or emotional abuse, bullying, physical health, possible fear and anxiety, loneliness, difficult relationships with their boyfriend/girlfriend or siblings, self-harming, loss of self-confidence, depression. The possibilities of Children's Line"allowed to answer 2 out of 3 children's calls or messages online.

We wish that every child who wishes to speak during this year’s holiday season is heard and supported. Together, let's bring brighter holidays to children in need!
