"I remember a girl calling who was standing on the bridge and wanted to kill herself - she was very lost, ran away from home, didn't even know where she was exactly. While talking, I made contact with her, called the police, while we waited for the officers, we were looking for a reliable person from her environment, with whom she would like to talk. It was a very powerful conversation - although it happened many years ago, I still remember it..."
"A girl once wrote. With the hope that it will be possible not to get hurt. I decided to be together as long as needed. As we talked, we searched together for the end of the thread that would lead to at least the slightest hope of living. At least that one time...I know that night we hugged each other in our minds and our hearts celebrated life."
"We talked for a long time, together we searched for what would bring this person to the bright side of life. At the end of the conversation, he promised to live on. But I don't know how it was really. Even now, I sometimes pay attention to a passer-by on the street and hope that this is the guy who chose life".
These are volunteers' stories about the most memorable conversations that took place in the "Youth Line". We receive over 2,000 such conversations per month, and in many of them, volunteers save people's lives.
Help the "Youth Line" to maintain and motivate volunteers so that they themselves do not get tired of bringing hope to those who lose it at a fateful moment. Let's light a green light as hope, encouraging us to always choose life instead of suicide.
