Let's develop children's financial literacy

94 percent of children still learn basic knowledge of financial literacy from their parents. The financial literacy of Lithuanian children and adults is below the average (OECD studies, PISA measles). Research also shows the knowledge gap between big cities and regions: due to the lack of choice of social, cultural and activity opportunities in the regions, there are no good conditions for acquiring the most important knowledge of financial literacy.

Therefore "Lietuvos Junior Achievement" invites you to invest in the financial literacy of children aged 10-14 (5-8th graders). At this age, children receive very little financial literacy knowledge during the general education program - this creates educational gaps and a long-term lack of interest in deepening knowledge later.

"Lietuvos Junior Achievement" can provide two programs for students in grades 5-8: "accelerator_x junior" and "Personal Finances". "accelerator_x junior" - students get to know the cycle of business creation, learn to manage business development and growth processes, calculate the most important financial indicators and create their own startups, while the "Personal Finance" program helps them feel the freedom and awareness of managing personal finances. The programs are created by world-class education specialists and adapted to Lithuania according to the country's context.

The organization that received this support will train 25 5-8 grade teachers who will reach at least 625 students per year.

Your support will help develop children's financial literacy!
