Every animal has the right to a safe and loving environment, but they still suffer from cruel treatment and neglect, and unplanned offspring are disposed of in cruel ways.
The project that we want to present to you aims to solve this sensitive problem throughout Lithuania, and we can only do it with your help. We cannot remain indifferent to cases of violence against those who cannot resist.
The aim of the project is to involve as many responsible parties as possible in order to solve the following question:
Team of lawyers and consultants - Public enterprise "Gývūņu gerovės natjitivos" will cooperate with lawyers and consultants in order to collect the necessary materials, prepare documents and work with the responsible institutions. Our aim is to ensure that these heinous cases are properly investigated and punished accordingly. In addition, legal practice will be formed, which is still lacking in the area of animal welfare.
Institutional Performance – It is not uncommon for responsible institutions to be challenged by not having enough practice in dealing with these issues or devaluing animals as living beings. We will work to improve the effectiveness of these processes in cooperation with animal welfare authorities.
Improving legislation - it happens that criminals avoid responsibility due to gaps in legislation or their inadequacy. We will analyze existing laws, compare them with foreign practice and propose improvements that will help ensure high standards of animal welfare.
Raising public awareness - it is important for the public to understand what kind of suffering a tortured animal can go through. We will publicize relevant information promoting the improvement of the living conditions of animals and remind you of the responsibility for animal cruelty and neglect.
The last project showed a great need for the continuation of such activities, so we are ready to start work again with your help. Direct support and participation is key to the success of this project.
