Let's Share 2016

More than 560 thousand people in Lithuania live in poverty. It means that every sixth Lithuanian can‘t allow themselves to eat meat, fish or any protein-rich food, which is necessary for wholesome nourishment. Poor diet, small portions are the daily life of poor people. However, together we can help them. Every single euro donated to Food bank becomes 24 portions of food for people in poverty. In 2016, Food bank collected and gave away 7710 tones of food products, which are worth 11.5 million euros.

This year, a sixth Let‘s Share TV-marathon is organized. The goal is to show to society the everyday life of the poor and to invite people to donate and help them. Poverty affects the most vulnerable: in our country 2 out of 3 large families, 40% of lonely mothers, every fifth senior can not let themselves to have a coffee with a chocolate sweet. During the TV project Let‘s Share, real stories that represent every sixth person in poverty lives are shown.

The aim of Food bank is to reach as much poor people as possible and ensure a stable food delivery.
