“I invite you to the feast“ is a special occasion for good food lovers to celebrate autumn, spend time with other people and help to those, who lack food.
1 out of 5 people in Lithuania experience poverty risk. Food bank can help these people by collecting and distributing food from manufacturers and distributors every day. However, this work requires funds – to pay for fuel, storage and etc. So it is the 4th year when Food bank with cookery show presenter and book author Beata Nicholson are implementing project “I invite you to the feast”.
About the project. This year during September we are encouraging society to prepare parties, picnics, make breakfast, lunch or dinner for their friends, colleagues or neighbours. Good-will people prepare food, invite their guests, who express their gratitude with money given to Food bank.
Collected funds will be allocated to Food bank in order to collect food from support-givers like manufacturers, distributors, farmers, and provide it to people living in poverty. Your support is essential to cover transportation expenses, repair vechicles, rent and exploit storage, support giving spots.
