The night of July 3rd changed Iveta’s life forever. A fire broke out in her home and, within minutes, flames destroyed nearly the entire three-story house. The most devastating loss, however, was the death of her husband in the tragedy.
Only one of the three floors was saved, but even that part of the house needs urgent repairs – the roof must be replaced, and the interior needs to be restored to make the space livable again.
Iveta was left alone – grieving, surrounded by loss, and faced with the overwhelming task of starting over. Due to moderate depression, she lost her job. Now she’s living in a rented apartment, but with winter approaching, she fears she won’t be able to cover rent much longer. She’s doing everything she can on her own, but both resources and strength are running low.
