Lebanon has recently suffered from the economic crisis, unemployment, the COVID-19 pandemic, the influx of refugees, and the explosion has only burdened these troubles. Organization “Save the Children” estimates that more than 500,000 children faced serious hardship in Beirut alone before the explosion. After this catastrophe, the situation is even more complicated: some children are injured, separated from their parents, scared, hungry, homeless. 100,000 children are currently in an extremely difficult situation. Organization “Save the Children Lithuania”, as part of an international organization, implements projects in other countries as well. It is currently encouraging to help children affected by the Beirut explosion.
