Help Ensure the Operation of Charity Canteens

"I came to Lithuania from Ukraine with my children - a boy and a girl, and my 71-year-old mother in 2022 from the city of Izium, after the Russian army completely destroyed our house and all our possessions. Before the Russian aggression, we lived a fulfilling, happy life - we came to Lithuania having lost absolutely everything, without any prospects and understanding of what to do and how to live. The Hope Center provided us with shelter - accommodation, food, and the opportunity to regain independence. Currently, I am already working and providing for my family, I am waiting for the end of the war so that I can return to my homeland." Y.A.

"I am a mother of 5 children, my husband is disabled. I'm working, I'm trying to do my best to provide for my family, but no doubt, considering the family situation, it's very difficult. Thanks to the help of the Hope Center, my children have the opportunity to eat wholesome food - vegetables, fruits, other necessary products that we cannot normally afford. The Hope Center is a huge help for us, without which it would be very difficult to survive." I. D.

Each person we help together with you is unique, with their own history, problems and different life circumstances. For some of them, the help we provide is a ticket to a new life, for some it is a necessity for survival.

On average, 350 poor people receive meals every working day, more than 100 people receive hygiene services every month, and refugees from Ukraine, women with children receive temporary accommodation.

The Center of Hope collects an average of 27,000 kg of expired food every month, which is used in the activities of the charity canteen, thus not only providing a full meal to hundreds of needy people every day, but also contributing to sustainability - otherwise these foods would be thrown away

Currently, the Center of Hope lacks trucks, which are necessary for our daily activities.

Daily intensive logistics - collection of expired food products from stores, restaurants, support organizations - is a very important and complex part of our daily activities. Currently, due to technical failures, wear and tear and the age of transport, the Center of Hope no longer has a truck with sufficient capacity to efficiently transport food products.

We invite you to contribute to the purchase of a truck, which will ensure the provision of free food services by the Hope Center to hundreds of needy people every working day, and will save thousands of kilograms of food products from being wasted.
