More than 400 000 people were taken to refugee camps in the central part of Ukraine from war conflict zones. Those people left without any personal things with the hope to get back to their homes soon. They do not have any essential clothing or household supplies and will face a winter cold. Winters in Ukraine are cold, temperature often goes -25 degrees below.
About the project. Project is implemented together with Ukraine Women Union, which is a a long-time partner of Save the Children International . The aim of the project – to help people, especially large families, who run away from war conflict zones to central part of Ukraine , survive a cold winter.
Moral help from Lithuania is needed as well as material - with donations Lithuanians not only relieve the physical suffering and inconveniences for Ukrainians, but also maintain their hope for peace.
Funds will be allocated to provide help for refugee families: warm clothes, beddings, shoes, heating equipment. Special attention will be paid to families that have children.
