Help give Merry Christmas to refugees from Ukraine and needy residents of Vilnius.
After the start of the war in Ukraine, the Center of Hope made every effort to organize effective and urgent assistance for the arriving refugees: food, clothing, legal advice were provided, and accommodation was provided to people whose financial situation was the most difficult.
Currently, there are 30 refugees living in the Hope Center - mothers with children of different ages, who are provided with the necessary necessities and are enabled to look for work and learn the Lithuanian language. These efforts are successful - the absolute majority start working, volunteer, save money to rent a house and start an independent life.
Despite these successes, in order to secure self-sufficiency, all people dream of returning home to Ukraine, the experiences they have gone through - the destruction of hometowns and villages, houses, dead friends and relatives - have left a huge and difficult to heal scar, so the psychological condition of people is complicated.
In this context, the Center of Hope has not stopped providing assistance to the needy residents of Vilnius, for whom this period is also extremely difficult due to the ever-rising prices and inflation in the country - every working day, hundreds of needy Vilnius residents have the opportunity to receive full-fledged food, food products, clothes, hygiene services.
The purpose of this project is to organize a festive Christmas dinner and give small practical gifts to the poorest residents of Vilnius and refugees from Ukraine, for whom this year is extremely difficult, in this way to give hope, a sense of community and the strength not to give up. despite all the challenges.
