Updated: at this time, all the collected support will be used to buy food that will reach the people evacuated after the dam explosion in the Kherson region.
From the funds collected in the "FOOD BANK - UKRAINE" project, long-life food products will be purchased and transported to Ukraine in few directions.
The first and current direction is the Kherson area after the dam blowing. The are still remaining people in less devastated areas (especially the elderly, the disabled, who had difficulties to evacuate), and the support will also be transported to people evacuated from flooded areas (food is transmitted to charity canteens, in shelters and accommodation areas).
Other directions are the Kramatorsk region, helping people evacuated from Bakhmouth, who also are staying in establishments that agreed to let lie under the roof. Also in small villages on the border with Russia – the Kharkov region Zolochevsky district, where people not only have lost their sources of income, but there are many old, sick people and lonely mothers in their towns.
During the war, the "Food Bank" has already delivered more than 900 tons of food to Ukraine. Support is distributed to residents of Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Odesa regions. Most of the food is long-life food products: pasta, various cereals, oil, sugar, flour, canned meat, fish, vegetable products, canned soups and stews, cookies. In Lviv, Ukraine, in the warehouses of the "Food Bank" partners, all the support is divided into food packages - boxes, which are taken by volunteers to the designated points. It is estimated that one support package-box is enough to feed a family for up to a week.
Let's help to provide much-needed food products to Ukrainians!
