Finding a job for a person with a disability is not easy - due to the high demands on the labor market, the prejudices and fears of employers and the reluctance of the team to hire another employee.
Saulė Says:
“I didn't want to sit at home, talk on the phone, I wanted to do something good for someone, I wanted to work. The SOPA team encouraged, pushed and found a place where I could work. A lot of people said, "You won't be able to do it, who needs it?" And I say, "I need it, I want to live and be needed by someone."
Dominykas says:
“I really appreciate what you did throughout the process. I gained a lot of knowledge and realized that you are really powerful and that you are turning mountains every day to make people like me feel happy and valued by those around them. Thank you for being one of those engines that is changing the way people, employers and people with disabilities themselves view disability itself and what can be done to make each of us more open to ourselves and others. You are doing it today, not tomorrow. Once again, I want to thank you all for what you are not doing for me - for us.
Tatjana's mother Elena:
“The work has simply changed Tatjana, she is becoming more and more independent. Now she goes to the store herself, reacts more openly to strangers. That shrunken girl after graduation and Tatiana today are two different people. What the SOPA team has done is incredible, and as a mother, I will be forever grateful for the trust my daughter has made and the opportunity she has to live a full adult life. ”
