Aid to starving children around the world

We are witnessing a global food crisis the likes of which we have not seen before this century. It is rare for so many countries to experience such severe food shortages at the same time. The shocks of climate change, increasing military conflicts, and economic instability are undermining the huge gains made in reducing child poverty, their health and nutrition, and threaten at least 153 million children. The number of people experiencing severe food insecurity has now risen to 258 million. This number is on the rise for the fourth year and is predicted to only increase in the coming months.

Globally, 1 in 5 children under the age of 5 die from malnutrition, and it is considered one of the biggest threats to child survival.

Countries such as Mali, Burkina Faso, Somalia, South Sudan experience the highest level of catastrophic food shortage. However, in this year 2023, it was halved simply because most of the food insecure people survived thanks to the aid provided by the humanitarian services. We must not stop providing aid to countries that continue to experience food crises.

The organization "Save the Children" together with other members of the "Save the Children" international network invites to help the countries of the world facing the food crisis and the accompanying child mortality.

The collected funds will be used to respond to the urgent needs of children - the supply of food in those countries where the situation has become critical and requires immediate action to save children's lives.
