ABOUT US
Public Institution Menų spaustuvė is a unique contemporary performing arts center located in the very heart of Vilnius. It is an open and vibrant space for professional artists, educational activities, and bold creative initiatives.
Our mission is to promote creativity as a modern way of thinking, a means of self-expression, and a source of community strength. Through various educational programs, we place special focus on engaging young people in contemporary performing arts – offering them the opportunity to create and discover themselves.
WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
Although Vilnius is rich in culture, not all children in the city can enjoy it. Many live in environments where art is not an everyday experience but a distant dream. They lack financial resources, support, or opportunities to participate in after-school activities.
Yet art for children is more than just creativity – it’s a way to understand themselves, build confidence, develop communication skills, and feel heard. It is a space for growth.
WHAT WILL WE DO?
We will organize free performing arts workshops for children aged 9–12 who do not have access to after-school activities.
Each child will participate in at least two different educational workshops, ranging from creativity development in theatre and playwriting, to meetings with composers, introductions to contemporary circus, and directing sessions.
These workshops will be led by professional artists who can create a safe and inspiring environment, where every child can express themselves freely. We will provide more than 100 socially vulnerable children the opportunity to experience and create contemporary performing art.
WHAT IMPACT WILL WE CREATE?
*Children will develop creativity, expression, and collaboration skills.
*They will gain self-confidence and the joy of discovery.
*They will experience a sense of belonging – knowing there is a place for them on stage.
*We will give them not only a meaningful experience but also tools to shape their future.
Together, we can open doors for those who are too often left behind. Let’s help children discover the stage – and themselves on it.
