in 2012 May 10 LPF "Vilties kalnas" (Fund) has established VšĮ "Motinas Teresės šeimų namai" (Family House) in Šiauliai, which continues the work started by the Foundation. The purpose of the family home is to provide quality complex assistance to families, children and young people experiencing difficulties; carry out prevention and promote family values. We aim to become an institution that would create a safe, healthy, cultural, spiritual environment for families, children and young people affected by crisis and difficulties, we aim to develop humane and Christian values and become a learning and constantly improving community, responsible, independent, active and creative people. Family homes care for families in which one or both parents grew up in foster homes, as well as families with very low incomes or persons who belong to the social risk group. Most of these people have physical and/or mental disabilities. We already carry out six different activities in family homes: since 2014. complex social care and accommodation services are provided, in cases of crisis motherhood/fatherhood, the project "Responsible parenting education school", in which weekly family meetings and positive parenting trainings are conducted to develop positive parenting. Developing a family culture, the day care and employment center for children "I and friends", Social rehabilitation services for the disabled in the community "Handicrafts workshop" project, Social workshops for persons with intellectual disabilities and AID (Alternative investment detector, employment assistance). About 210 people join the community of family homes. We are a non-governmental organization, with the help of projects, private, foreign sponsors, we tried to provide assistance in cases of crisis motherhood/fatherhood, aiming to help parents by educating and giving them hope. The goal of our ongoing activities is to strengthen the relationship between parents and children by improving the future of society and reducing the number of children separated from their parents. By providing decent living conditions that meet human dignity, we create an environment suitable for the development of the newborn and the baby at the same time.
