VšĮ Batuotos katės has been working for the welfare of cats for the second year. We are happy that with the help of people we are able to fulfill the set goals and save more and more lives. The most sensitive link in the cat population are kittens. A cat matures in an average of 5-6 months and can already give birth to offspring. There can be up to three litters per year, which is about 15 and even more kittens. One of the shelter's main goals is to minimize the number of kittens born on the streets, care for cats and kittens, castration of adults, treatment of cats, vaccination, chipping, finding a home. As much as possible, we adopt all expectant cats from the streets, so that the kittens are born in a safe environment. We sterilize cats and thus help to reduce the extremely excessive population of cats in Lithuania in a humane way.
