Dalia Grybauskaitė, President of the Lithuanian Republic, is Patron of the December 15th concert that was held in Vilnius at the Palace of the Grand Dukes.
About the project. Famous Ukrainian singing sisters Telniuk and well-known Lithuanian artists performed in fundraiser events for the victims in Ukraine. All performers were generously donating their time and talents to support this worthy cause. The project is inspired by Veronika Povilionienė. This event was produced by Association "Ars libera".
Concerts have taken place in
December 14th - Officers' Club in Kaunas;
December 15th - The National Museum Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania in Vilnius.
The December 15th concert was broadcast live by LRT Culture, and the LRT Lituanica event broadcast live around the world, as well as webcast worldwide. The concert was rebroadcast by Ukrainian National TV and presented by Ukraine's Channel 5.
Proceeds from these concerts will go to relieve suffering of Ukrainian people crippled by war, who have lost arms and legs, and currently receiving treatment in the hospital of Dnepropetrovsk. With the funds collected, prostheses will be made in Lithuania, which will be fitted and donated to the victims.
Goals of this Project. Our goal is to grow into an international solidarity movement with the participation of even more citizens of the world who long to help the victims of war in Ukraine. We expect that fundraising for this cause will spring up in various countries around the world, and that international artists will host similar acts of solidarity.
